BON IVER – SABLE, EP
It’s been five years since Eau Claire-based Bon Iver released their critically-acclaimed, Grammy-nominated fourth studio album called i,i.
This week they release their Sable, EP. The three song set was co-produced with Jim-E Stack whose 2020 album EPHEMERA features a guest appearance from Bon Iver.

JERRY CANTRELL – I WANT BLOOD
I Want Blood is the fourth solo album from Alice In Chains guitarist/vocalist/lyricist Jerry Cantrell, and features contributions from Duff McKagan, Metallica‘s Robert Trujillo, Greg Puciato of Better Lovers, Faith No More‘s Mike Bordin and more. Robert Trujillo and Mike Bordin previously provided bass and drums, respectively, on Cantrell’s 2002 sophomore solo album, Degradation Trip.

JAPANDROIDS – FATE & ALCOHOL
Earlier this year, Vancouver duo Japandroids announced they’d be calling it quits; but not before gifting fans their fourth and final studio album, Fate & Alcohol.
Japandroids are so beloved among their fanbase, 93X once had a podcast named after their 2012 sophomore album, Celebration Rock.

MC5 – HEAVY LIFTING
Despite many, many reunions throughout the years, MC5‘s third & final studio album, Heavy Lifting, is the Detroit rocker’s first studio album in 53 years.
Heavy Lifting features guest appearances from Tom Morello, Slash, Alice In Chains‘ William DuVall, Rise Against‘s Tim McIlrath, and more.
MC5 guitarist Wayne Kramer, the final remaining member of the band’s classic line-up, died in February from pancreatic cancer.

Pinhead Gunpowder released one album, seven EPs and three compilations before going on hiatus in 2010. This week, the newly reunited band, which features Green Day‘s Billie Joe Armstrong on guitar and vocals, return with their sophomore album, Unt.

Sponge, whose debut album Rotting Piñata came out in 1994, has released a new covers album of songs originally released in 1994.
1994 features the Detroit band’s take on songs originally performed by Alice In Chains, Blur, Oasis, Morrissey, Mazzy Star, Stone Temple Pilots and more.
