NEW ALBUMS

THE CRANBERRIESIN THE END

The eighth and final album from The Cranberries has arrived.

The album was in the demo stages when lead singer Delores O’Riordon passed away in London. Upon release of In the End, The Cranberries have now officially disbanded.

THE DAMNED THINGSHIGH CRIMES

Nine years after the release of their debut album, Ironiclast, metal supergroup The Damned Things have finally released a follow up.

For the uninitiated, The Damned Things features members of Every Time I Die, Anthrax, Alkaline Trio and Fall Out Boy.

CRAIG FINNI NEED A NEW WAR

I Need a New War is The Hold Steady singer/lyricist’s fourth solo album since 2012. Craig Finn has now released three solo albums since The Hold Steady last released an album (2014’s Teeth Dreams).

Which is great! Keep them coming. Just save some material for a new The Hold Steady album!

STARFLYER 59YOUNG IN MY HEAD

Jason Martin is one busy dude. When he’s not recording with Starflyer 59, he’s got plenty of side-projects to keep him busy. In 2017, another side-project of his called Lo Tom (a four-piece consisting of 2 members of Pedro the Lion and 2 members of Starflyer 59) released a very solid debut album.

Young In My Head is SF59’s 15th album in their 26 years of existence.

NEW SINGLES

3TEETH“EXXXIT”

3Teeth were voted the #1 band most likely to breakout in 2019 according to a Revolver Magazine reader’s poll.

Their third album, Metawar, will be released on July 5th. This week they released the very NSFW video for “EXXXIT”.

DISCRETION ADVISED!

THE BLACK KEYS“EAGLE BIRDS”

Yesterday, The Black Keys released a new single and details about their new album.

“Eagle Birds”, from the upcoming Let’s Rock (June 28), can be heard below.

MARK LANEGAN“STITCH IT UP”

Mark Lanegan is one of the most sought-after singers in rock.

Lanegan spent 15 years in an alternative/grunge band; but his solo albums don’t sound anything like that. Each new solo album is different from the last.

This week he released new single “Stitch It Up” from Somebody’s Knocking (October 18). The video for “Stitch It Up” features actor Donal Logue hilariously reviving his 90’s MTV alter-ego “Jimmy the Cab Driver”.

MIDDLE KIDS“BELIEFS AND PRAYERS”

“Beliefs and Prayers” is the second single (after “The Real Thing” a month ago) from Middle Kids‘ upcoming six song EP, New Songs For Old Problems (May 24).

You can see the Australian trio at First Avenue on May 21.

SERJ TANKIAN“GODZILLA”

System of a Down frontman, Serj Tankian, has released a new single. The song, which is a collaboration with composer Bear McCreary, is a pretty kick-ass cover of the Blue Oyster Cult classic, “Godzilla”.

The cover will be featured in the upcoming movie, Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
