Billy Morrison and Ozzy Osbourne have released their new single, “Gods of Rock N Roll,” just in time for Valentine’s Day. The song, initially written by the pair a decade ago in South America, has been reimagined with a full orchestra, a choir, and a re-recorded vocal track from Osbourne. Morrison describes the new version as the realization of their original vision for the song, a “huge emotive ballad.”
The track features Morrison on guitar, Osbourne on vocals, and Steve Stevens on lead guitar, with orchestral arrangements by Fred Coury. Osbourne shared that he had pushed for an orchestral and choral arrangement from the beginning. The song is already climbing the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts since the it debuted on Ozzy’s Boneyard last week.
“Gods of Rock N Roll” is available now on streaming platforms. Morrison’s deluxe digital edition of The Morrison Project will be released on February 21st, featuring “Gods of Rock N Roll” and six other bonus tracks, including a stripped-down orchestral and vocal mix of the new single.
