During the performance, the band’s first since Di’Anno’s passing, frontman Bruce Dickinson praised Di’Anno for his “amazing voice” and said he was “devoted to rock and roll right up to the last minute of his life.”
He then urged the audience to “take a few seconds to just close your eyes in silence” and “just say, ‘thanks, boss,’ for doing what he did.”
Di’Anno, who sang on Iron Maiden’s first two albums, died on October 21st at the age of 66.
