CLOUD CULT – ALCHEMY CREEK
Alchemy Creek from Minnesota’s Cloud Cult, similarly to Bon Iver‘s For Emma, Forever Ago, was written, recorded and performed in isolation in a Wisconsin cabin by the band’s frontman during a sad breakup.
“You can hear the creek outside of the recording studio windows on this single as well as most of the album tracks. That’s where the idea of naming the album Alchemy Creek came from, because it felt like the songs were being delivered by the water, and that was somehow helping me process the pain and change me for the better.”

MUSHROOMHEAD – CALL THE DEVIL
Mushroomhead‘s ninth studio album, Call the Devil, is considered a sort of sequel to 2020’s A Wonderful Life.
“If there’s a secret, it’s to wake up every day with the goal of figuring out how to make your band, brand or artwork a little more accessible. To have an opportunity to create art with multiple people — to have their attention, time and creativity for a while — while chasing that creative element, staying inspired, believing in yourself and being true to your art is what does it, from my point of view.” (Blabbermouth)
