Davey Havok & Jade Puget (AFI‘s lead vocalist & guitarist/programming/synthesizers, respectively) have released their fourth album together as Blaqk Audio.

Only Things We Love continues with a strong 80s vibe in the vein of classic New Order and Depeche Mode.

The Brian Jonestown Massacre have been through countless lineup changes over the past (almost) 30 years. That’s largely due to their legendary antics which includes on-stage fist fights among band members. All of which was detailed in the Brian Jonestown Massacre & Dandy Warhols documentary DIG!

Today sees the release of the 18th album in the Brian Jonestown Massacre canon, and the their 7th album in the past 5 years.


TEENAGE BOTTLEROCKETSTAY RAD!

Wyoming punks, Teenage Bottlerocket are back with their fourth album for Fat Wreck Chords, and their 8th overall. Pop-punk with snotty, funny, and often heartfelt lyrics. The new album, Stay Rad!, contains 14 songs and not one of them breaks the 3 minute mark.

Unfamiliar with Teenage Bottlerocket? If you’re a Volbeat fan, you should know that “Rebound” off of 2016’s Seal the Deal & Let’s Boogie is a Teenage Bottlerocket cover.

BEACH SLANG – MPLS

A tribute to Minneapolis influences. Beach Slang, a four-piece of indie/punk rockers from Philly, have released a two song single/EP featuring covers of Paul Westerberg‘s “AAA” (from 2002’s Mono) and Bob Mould‘s “I Hate Alternative Rock” (from 1996’s Bob Mould).


THE BOUNCING SOULS – CRUCIAL MOMENTS

The Bouncing Souls have returned with Crucial Moments, a new EP in celebration of their 30 years (!) as a band.

They are currently on their 30th Anniversary tour. See them at Varsity Theater on August 18 with The Bronx and The Bar Stool Preachers. (Tickets)


BARONESS – “BORDERLINES”
Baroness have revealed the title of their next album. Keeping with the trend of naming their albums after colors, the new album will be called Gold & Grey.

Lead singer John Baizley stated in a press release:

“I’m sure we have just finished our best, most adventurous album to date. We dug incredibly deep, challenged ourselves and recorded a record I’m positive we could never again replicate”.

Grey & Gold arrives on June 14.

Saudade is a “supergroup” consisting of Deftones‘ Chino Moreno, Chuck Doom (Chino’s bandmate in †††), Bad Brains‘ Dr. Know, and John Medeski of Medeski, Martin & Wood.

“Shadows & Light” is the brand new single which features guest vocals from goth/metal singer Chelsea Wolfe.
