Think you’ve got what it takes to play with THE SMASHING PUMPKINS? Here's your shot. Head Pumpkin BILLY CORGAN has announced that he's searching for a new bass player and keyboardist to round out the band’s current lineup. Bassist GINGER POOLEY, who has worked with Smashing Pumpkins for the last few years, is leaving to focus on raising her baby. Corgan says, “Although I am heartbroken that Ginger is leaving the group, I really respect her decision to put her family first.”

In addition to a new bassist, Corgan wants to find a keyboardist who is influenced by prog-rock players like RICK WAKEMAN of YES and JON LORD of DEEP PURPLE.  Corgan explains, “We were lucky enough to find [current drummer] MIKE BYRNE through an open audition process, so why not open the doors again...As you can see from our past and present, age, race and a person’s background is not an issue.”

Interested parties should send a photo, resume and links to recorded material to either PumpkinsBass@gmail.com or PumpkinsKeys@gmail.com. Only musicians with video clips will be considered. March 31st is the final date for submissions for both positions.
