It's amazing it took him this long, but GENE SIMMONS is about to begin selling replicas of his signature axe-shaped bass.  Each of the instruments, which are billed as identical to the one Gene plans on stage, is carved from a single piece of wood.  They're all hand-numbered and signed by the KISS bassist himself, and come with an autographed leather case bearing the image of Gene's face.  Simmons reps refer to the instrument as a gift to his fans.  Of course, it's a pricey gift -- and one that you'll have to pay for yourself, to the tune of $5,000.
